Three Texas employees retire from Consolidated Communications

CONROE – Three area residents retired from Consolidated Communications recently. Jimmie Curry, Lowell Green and Jerry McGuire retired after many years of service to the company.

The retirees were honored with celebrations in their honor in March, said Jim Watkins, Vice President. "We congratulate Jimmie, Lowell and Jerry on their long careers with the company, and thank them for their many years of service and friendship. On behalf of their co-workers, we wish them well in retirement," he said. Jimmie Curry

Curry leaves the company with 33 years of service. He joined the company on June 6, 1975, as a Lineman. During his career, he also worked as an Outside Service Technician, Certified Outside Service Technician, Engineering Assistant and Engineer-Outside Plant. He retired as an Engineer II.

He is a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nacogdoches,Texas, and lives in Lufkin with his wife, Debra. They have two children, James and Elizabeth.

Lowell Green

 

Green joined the company on February 22, 1971, as a Switchman, and leaves with 38 years of service. During his career he also worked as a Combinationman, Installer-Repairman, PBX-PABX Combinationman Helper, PBX-PABX Combinationman, PBX-PABX Technician and Engineering Assistant – OSP Level 1. He retired as an Engineer.

He and his wife, Connie, live in Lufkin. They have three children: Joel Green, Kelly Johnson and Jennifer Collins.

Jerry McGuire

McGuire worked for the company for 30 years. He began his career on October 2, 1978, as a Switchman. During his career he also worked as a Network Analyst, Supervisor – Translations and Technical Support, Staff Manager – Translations and Technical Support, Senior Manager – Network Provisioning and Manager, NOC. He retired as an Engineer III.

Jerry and his wife, Judie, live in Diboll. They have two children: Johnathon McGuire and his wife, Judy; and Jacquline Schelp and her husband, Travor. They also have a grandson, Clayton McGuire.
