CHARLESTON - Portions of many administrative and academic buildings on the Eastern Illinois University campus could be without telephone service for two to three days as Consolidated Communications technicians work to repair a damaged telephone cable.
Ryan Whitlock, Senior Manager, Field Operations, said technicians have located the damaged section of cable and are working to replace it.
Until service is restored, employees and faculty on campus who are without service due to the outage can be contacted through the university’s e-mail system or through cellular telephones.
