New directory from Consolidated Communications delivered to Conroe/The Woodlands area residents
CONROE – Consolidated Communications is encouraging area residents to recycle their old telephone directories at a collection site in the company’s parking lot at 350 S. Loop 336 West. Proceeds from the recycling of old directories will benefit the Montgomery County Food Bank.
"Consolidated Communications is committed to helping organizations like the Montgomery County Food Bank, and by recycling old telephone directories, area residents can help the group as well," said Jim Bristow, Vice President.
A designated AlitibiBowater recycling bin will remain on site at Consolidated Communications until June. All other telephone directories besides the new directory from Consolidated Communications can be recycled to reduce clutter in the home and office and to maximize the benefit to the Montgomery County Food Bank.
Now is a great time to recycle those old books because Conroe and The Woodlands area residents recently received their 2009-2010 version of The Phone Book from Consolidated Communications.
The new directory delivered to residents of Conroe features a photo of 13 National Honor Society students on the cover from the Caney Creek, Conroe, Montgomery and Willis high schools. The cover image on the book for The Woodlands residents features eight National Honor Society students from College Parks, Oak Ridge and The Woodlands high schools. The contents of both books are identical.
The 2009-2010 directory also includes easy-to-read white and yellow page listings, and features several pages of Conroe and the surrounding area community information, city maps, governmental listings and a community calendar. The new directory also features a combined white page section for the entire Conroe and The Woodlands area instead of individual sections for each city or area.
An electronic version of the new directory is also available at www.consolidated.com. The online directory includes the same information as the printed directory, including white and yellow pages, and is easily searchable by name, business classification or telephone number. The online version provides maps and driving directions to many businesses by clicking on the address, and a link is also available to many advertisers’ Web sites.
In addition to the traditional directory being delivered to area residents now, The Phone Book from Consolidated is also available in a mini book format. The mini format is ideal for use in tight places such as vehicles or offices. Additional traditional directories and mini directories are also available at the Conroe Communication Center at 350 S. Loop 336 West. The Conroe Communications Center is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
