Switching Technician
| Job Description: | Candidates will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, troubleshooting, and providing escalated support of our multi-state enterprise network of data and voice switches, transport facilities, DSL, Video and other advance digital networks. |
| Job Qualifications: | Minimum of one of the following: two year networking degree, two year electronics degree or equivalent work experience within the telecommunications industry. Strong personal computer skills; familiarity with Ethernet and routing protocols; ability to learn switching, transmission, data, power equipment; software applications; and hardware configurations. Can effectively communicate with internal and external customers to instruct and troubleshoot all aspects of our enterprise network. Must keep detailed records of work activity and prepare reports and or documentation as necessary. Work proficiently with high-tech data and voice test equipment, electrical instruments, and small hand tools. Must be able to distinguish wire and cable colors, analyze and interpret service orders, work orders, and circuit diagrams. Must hold a valid driver’s license |
