Voice Services / Toll Free

Make it easy for your customers.

Toll-free numbers play a key role in sales, customer service and marketing for customer-oriented businesses, both large and small. Consolidated can add toll-free service to your existing phone line(s) with no additional lines or new equipment needed.

Why choose Toll-Free Service?

  • Give your customers toll-free access to your business in all 50 states, including Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Give your customers toll-free access to your business only in the states, area codes or telephone exchanges where you do business.
  • One flat rate for all intrastate calls and one flat rate for all interstate calls. Generous term discounts (optional) apply to toll-free service as well. No monthly usage minimums, even on term agreements. Six-second billing increments.

Toll-Free Service includes these standard features:

  • Message Referral. If you need to change locations and numbers or are disconnecting service, we can provide you a toll-free number with a recording informing your callers of the change and referring them to a new number.
  • Call Area Blocking. If there's a particular caller you wish to restrict from toll-free access, you can set restrictions down to individual numbers.
  • Route Advance. You can control call overflow on your 800 number. Our Route Advance allows Toll-Free Dedicated Access Line customers to control congestion of calls, sending your overflow to a predefined alternate routing group with alternate routing plans. Route Advance will map up to five route choices.
  • Holiday Routing. If your staff has holidays off, you can arrange for calls to your toll-free number to be routed to a different location during these holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Now you can plan and staff for fluctuations in call volumes based on specific holidays.
  • Day-of-Year Routing. If there are specific days your staff will be out, you can arrange for calls to your toll-free number to be routed to a different location based on holidays that you specify. You can establish a different routing arrangement for up to 15 single days. You can plan and staff for specific fluctuations in call volumes.

Optional features include:

  • Call Area Allowing. You can make sure someone doesn't accidentally call your 800 number, resulting in a charge to you. Consolidated Communications allows you to accept toll-free calls only from designated areas that you choose. Calls from outside these areas will not be connected. You can allow up to 10 areas of service without a fee.
  • Call Area Restriction. Consolidated Communications helps you make sure someone in your local dialing area can't use your 800 number. Call Area Restriction can block calls from any area you designate.
  • Originating Automatic Number Identification (ANI) Sort Enhanced Report. Consolidated Communications can display a listing of numbers that have used your 800 number on your monthly bill. You can see how often each caller uses your 800 service.
  • Executive Summary. Provides you with a quick summary on incoming call activity on your bill.
